Environmental Assessments

A Review of Environmental Factors (REF) is an environmental assessment undertaken by a public authority, such as Lismore City Council, to evaluate the potential impacts of a proposed activity on the environment. The assessment identifies environmental considerations and outlines measures to avoid, reduce or manage any potential impacts.

Council prepares REF assessments in accordance with Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. Relevant REFs required to be published will be listed here.
