Invoice Automation

Changes to Invoice and General Communication Email Addresses

Important Changes for Suppliers

As part of our Invoice Automation Program, we are introducing new email addresses to ensure invoices are processed more efficiently and supplier communications are directed to the appropriate teams.

Effective from Tuesday 13th October 2026, please use the following email addresses:

Email Addresses for Invoice Only Submission

creditors@lismore.nsw.gov.au

or frpaccounts@lismore.nsw.gov.au

If your invoice relates to the Flood Recovery Portfolio

These email addresses are to be used only for invoices including:

· Tax invoices – Suppliers registered for GST

· Invoices – Suppliers not registered for GST

To ensure timely processing, invoices should not be sent to individual employees or departmental mailboxes unless specifically requested.

Email Addresses for General Supplier Communication

accountspayable@lismore.nsw.gov.au

or frpfinance@lismore.nsw.gov.au

If your communication relates to the Flood Recovery Portfolio

These email addresses are to be used for all non-invoice correspondence, including:

· Supplier enquiries

· Payment status queries

· Vendor maintenance requests

· Remittance enquiries

· General Accounts Payable communication

· Requests for information

· Credit notes

· Statements (if applicable)

· Supporting documentation required for invoice processing

Please do not send invoices to this email address, as they may not enter the automated processing workflow.

Why Are We Making This Change?

The introduction of dedicated email addresses supports our ongoing investment in invoice automation and process improvement. These changes will:

· Improve invoice processing efficiency

· Reduce manual handling of invoices

· Help ensure invoices are received and processed consistently

· Improve visibility and tracking of supplier communications

· Support faster resolution of supplier enquiries

Electronic Invoicing (Peppol)

We encourage suppliers to submit invoices electronically via the Peppol Network, where available.

Electronic invoicing provides a secure and efficient way to exchange invoice data directly between supplier and customer systems, helping to:

· Reduce processing times

· Improve invoice accuracy

· Minimise manual intervention

· Support faster invoice delivery

Suppliers interested in e-Invoicing should check with their:

· Accounting software provider

· Finance team

· Financial advisor

to confirm whether their organisation is enabled for Peppol transactions.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. To support our automated processing environment, all invoices should be submitted to creditors@lismore.nsw.gov.au or frpaccounts@lismore.nsw.gov.au where applicable.

Do suppliers have to use Peppol?

No. Email submission remains available; however, Peppol is encouraged where supported by the supplier's software.
