Pensioner / Concession Rate Rebates

If you live on the rateable property and hold an eligible Pensioner Concession Card, you may be entitled to a rebate on your rates and charges.

What you can receive

  • $250 on ordinary council rates and domestic waste management charges
  • $87.50 on annual water rates and charges, where provided by council
  • $87.50 on annual sewerage rates and charge, where provided by council

Eligibility

You may be eligible if you hold:

  • a Pensioner Concession Card
  • a DVA Veteran Gold Card endorsed Totally & permanently Incapacitated (TPI) or Extreme Disablement Adjustment (EDA)
  • a War Widow or War Widower Pensioner Concession Card
  • a Wholly Dependent Partner Pensioner Concession Card

Important: If you become eligible during the rating year, complete the Pension Concession Application to have the rebate applied to your rates.
