Communities of Dungarubba, Kilgin, Rileys Hill, Broadwater and surrounding suburbs are invited to an evening of discussion, mapping, music and supper. There will be information from the SES on flood warning systems, the Red Cross, Community Recovery and Local Land Services on decontaminating and regenerating soils post floods. Reducing Plastics tip
Join in Plastic Free July, a global movement helping millions of people solve plastic pollution, helping to clean our streets, rivers and communities. You can join in with simple yet effective changes:
- Use your own reusable coffee cup when getting a takeaway, even a cleaned out glass jar with a stack of rubber bands as a heat resistance grip can hold your coffee nicely;
- Take your own container when getting takeout, or picking items from the supermarket deli;
- Check out recycled craft activity books from your local library; and
- Check out a range of ideas from the Plastic Free July resources here.
Transition Streets is an online community with resources to help you connect with others in your community, helping you make your home and street more sustainable.

Clubgrants
Clubgrants have four streams of grants open, covering infrastructure grants for:
- Sport and recreation – $50,000 to $300,000;
- Arts and culture - $50,000 to $200,000;
- Disaster readiness - $50,000 to $200,000; and
- Community infrastructure - $50,000 to $250,000.

Hamer Sprout Sustainability Grants
This program aims to build communities inspired to take action for a sustainable future. The objective of the Fund is to support projects and organisations that:
- Promote innovation in environmental education;
- Facilitate engagement in environmental action;
- Advocate for environmental sustainability; and
- Foster collaboration between young people engaged in environmental leadership.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available, however more (up to $10,000) may be awarded in exceptional circumstances. Find out more and apply here.
FRRR - ANZ Seeds of Renewal Program
This program aims to help build vibrant and sustainable rural communities, to ensure the ongoing prosperity of regional Australia. The program is focused upon supporting projects that align to one of ANZ's four focus areas:
- Improving environmental sustainability;
- Improving financial wellbeing within the community;
- Improving access to housing; and
- Other community projects that assist local communities to thrive.
Grants of up to $15,000 are available. Find out more and apply here.
Living Carbon Grants
Managing carbon is both a challenge and an enormous opportunity for landholders. If you are a landholder in NSW, you may be eligible for a NSW Government grant to set up a carbon planting project. This could help you secure the health of your land, improve productivity, and unlock new income streams. Your land could be used to revegetate habitats for threatened or iconic species such as koalas. Grants of up to $200,000 are available for planting between 10 – 200 hectares of land
