Reimagine Lismore

Busy CBD people shopping

To bring Lismore’s vision for the future to life, the Reimagine Lismore Community Strategic Plan 2025–2035, Delivery Program 2025–2029, and Operational Plan 2025–2026 have been woven into a single, easy-to-follow document. This unified format lets you clearly see how today’s actions link to tomorrow’s aspirations — tracking the journey from long-term goals through to the specific projects and services Council will deliver.

At the heart of this vision is the Reimagine Lismore Community Strategic Plan 2025–2035, shaped through deep and widespread community engagement. From the November 2024 Community Scorecard to workshops held across the LGA and three years of ongoing conversations, thousands of voices came together to imagine what Lismore could — and should — become. This collaboration gave rise to five bold pillars that will guide the next decade:

Place – Growing sustainably to create liveable communities and a vibrant regional city
Environment – Protecting nature and building resilience to natural hazards
Community – Fostering safe, inclusive, and connected neighbourhoods
Prosperity – Supporting thriving local economies and creative enterprise
Leadership – Leading with transparency, accountability, and long-term thinking

From this shared vision, the Delivery Program and Operational Plan set out the concrete steps Council will take — year by year and project by project—to bring these goals to life. They form the practical roadmap for the next four years, with annual check-ins to make sure progress stays on track.

Now, it’s time for the final step: your input. These plans are on public exhibition for 28 days, and we’re inviting the community to review them and have a say. Do the priorities reflect what you told us? Are we on the right path?
