Project Overview
Specialist firms have been invited to express interest in both the design and construction phases. The proponent for the design phase has been appointed, and planning is now underway.
In September 2025, experts in sealed road surface restoration will be invited to submit proposals for the construction phase, with the successful proponent confirmed in October 2025. Once appointed, they will develop a detailed delivery schedule, specifying locations and timelines for project implementation.
Aerial Surveying
Lismore City Council is leveraging advanced aerial imaging technology to fast-track flood restoration efforts across the region.
The 2022 disaster caused extensive road damage, affecting 84 sites across 25 roads. To streamline recovery, Council is conducting helicopter surveys equipped with cutting-edge LiDAR technology. This high-precision data will inform the design phase, enabling tailored solutions that strengthen infrastructure resilience.
Unlike traditional ground surveys, aerial imaging allows uninterrupted data collection while minimizing safety risks near traffic.
