Urban Drains CCTV Inspection

Lismore has an extensive stormwater drainage network. To ensure our infrastructure is performing at its best, Council’s Flood Restoration Portfolio is undertaking a thorough and systematic investigation of our stormwater drains, which will inform priorities and locations of future drain cleaning activities.

 Timeline May to July 2025
 Disaster AGRN1012

Utilising closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, the works will progressively take place across an eight-week period between 12 May and 5 July 2025, subject to weather conditions.

The CCTV inspections will be completed on Council’s behalf by Dynamic Hydro-Excavations

Scope

  • Works will be undertaken from Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 7am and 4pm
  • Minimal noise is expected, with the inspection equipment fitting into an average size van
  • Investigation crews will be opening stormwater drainage lids and feeding in camera equipment stored in a nearby vehicle. One or two parking spaces may be taken up
  • Safety barricades will be erected around the site while investigations are taking place, to maintain safety for workers and pedestrians
  • Slow/start traffic control measures may be implemented in highly trafficked areas, as required. Please adhere to all road signs and traffic controller directions, and ensure care is taken around workers on foot
