Vacant Land – Seeking Expressions of Interest

Albert Park Reserve at 338 Keen Street, East Lismore

Status: Seeking Expressions of Interest

Lismore City Council, as appointed Crown Land Manager for Albert Park Reserve (R89503), are seeking expressions of interest for use of the vacant land fronting Keen Street on the northern side of the basketball stadium (south of Bernstein Street). The land has been used for grazing in the past, however, Council are willing to consider alternative uses or use of only part of the area.

The land is partially fenced along Keen Street and Bernstein Street (shown blue on the image), however would require internal fencing to be undertaken at the applicant’s cost to keep stock east of the Wilson Walking Track (indicative fencing required shown red on the image). The applicant will also be responsible for arranging their own water connection at a cost of approximately $1900. Other terms and conditions will apply.

The grazing licence will be limited to 12 months under section 2.20 of the Crown Land Management Act 2016, however, there is the potential to renew each year.

There are no cattle yards on the land. You are encouraged to inspect the site before making an application to Council to ensure it is suitable for your needs.

Notice of New Road Name

Pursuant to Section 162 of the Roads Act 1993, Council gives notice on Monday, 11 February of the following officially named road within Council:

Name: ROCKVIEW COURT

Location details:

LGA: Lismore.

Suburb/address locality: Nimbin.

Description: Road located within approved subdivision of 49 Alternative Way, Nimbin (Lot 32 in DP 1233771).

Name origin: Extensive views to Nimbin Rocks, Blue Knob and the mountains.

Crown land available for short-term grazing licence – Tregeagle Reserve at 820 Tregeagle Road, Tregeagle

Lismore City Council, as appointed Crown Land Manager for Tregeagle Reserve, now has approximately 5.5 hectares of land available to licence for grazing purposes.

The licence to issue will be short-term (maximum 12 months) and will require the licensee to provide their own water and at their own expense attend to weed maintenance and fencing of the licensed area. Fencing shown as yellow hatching on the attached diagram must be sufficient to keep cattle from creek. Other terms and conditions will apply.

There is no cattle yard on the Licensed Area. Prospective applicants are invited to inspect the site before making a application to Council to ensure it is suitable for their needs.

Notice is given on 14 March 2019 that:

Lismore City Council as Crown Land Manager over Community Crown Reserve No. 89503, situated at 338 Keen Street, East Lismore, proposes to issue a short-term licence of 12 months to Jacqueline Loader.

The proposed short-term licence will be used for the purpose of grazing horses and will be over the land shaded green on the map.

Lismore City Council as Crown Land Manager over Community Crown Reserve No. 33732, situated at 820 Tregeagle Road, Tregeagle, proposes to issue a short-term licence of 12 months to Graeme Bailey.

The proposed short-term licence will be used for the purpose of grazing and will be over the land shown by red hatching on the below map.

Proposed lease and licence over community Council land

Under Section 47A Local Government Act 1993

Notice is given on 21 February 2019 that:

Lismore City Council proposes to issue a three-year lease of the Rowing Club House (being operational land). The lease includes an interdependent licence over part of adjoining community Council land situated at 56 Bruxner Highway, Loftville. The Club House is to the north east of the lake and its surrounding licensed area is outlined in red.

The proposed lease and licence will be to Lismore Rowing Club Incorporated for the purposes of rowing club administrative, storage and other ancillary uses as approved by the Council.
