Paint and chemicals

Household quantities of paint (water or oil-based) are accepted free of charge at our Lismore Recycling & Recovery Centre as part of the Community Recycling Centre program. For more information on other waste that can be accepted through this program, visit the Resource Recovery Facility page. 

Household quantities of hazardous chemicals are also accepted free of charge at the Lismore Recycling & Recovery Centre through a different program. This includes:

  • solvents
  • cleaners
  • pool chemicals
  • acids/alkalis
  • pesticides & herbicides
  • poisons
  • hobby chemicals (eg dyes, inks etc)

Household quantities are 20L/20kg. For commercial quantities over 20L/20kg, there is a price on application charge. See our fees and charges.
