Restoration works to commence at The Quad

Restoration works at the Quad are due to commence shortly and will include improvements to drainage, landscaping, pedestrian pathways and public amenities to provide an accessible and welcoming greenspace within our CBD.

To minimise disruption to the community and users of Lismore’s public spaces, The Quad is being restored in conjunction with the Lismore Regional Gallery and Lismore Library restorations. These projects are made possible with funding from the NSW Government under the Community and Cultural Assets Restoration Program and works are being carried out in conjunction with Bennett Constructions.

Temporary site fencing will be installed around The Quad in preparation for these works. Pedestrian access from the Harold Fredericks carpark to Keen Street and vice-versa will remain open throughout the works. Designated pedestrian walkways, highlighted in green on the accompanying map (below), have been established to ensure your safety and convenience.

Please note the parking area in front of the Library on Magellan Street will be reserved for construction vehicles during the construction period.

The estimated completion date is June 2024, subject to weather. Updates on the project will be posted on the Flood Restoration - Buildings, Parks and Facilities page on Your Say Lismore.

Council apologises for any inconveniences these temporary changes may cause and appreciate your patience as we continue to restore these vital community assets.
