Need help at home?

Are you an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Elder aged over 50, or do you care for one?

You might be able to get help through My Aged Care. This can include things like cleaning, meals, shopping, and nurse visits to help you stay safe and well at home.

Come to a workshop to find out how you or someone you care for can get this support. Goonellabah Library is holding free workshops with Kath Dower to help Elders learn how to get support at home. Kath has used these services to help her own family and wants to teach others how to use them too.

The workshops go for 1.5 hours and will be held during Reconciliation Week on:

  • Thursday, May 29 at 10:30am and 1:00pm
  • Friday, May 30 at 10:30am and 1:00pm

Free snacks and help with transport will be available. To book a spot, please call Goonellabah Library on 02 6625 1235.
