Moving to a circular economy

Council adopted a new Resource Recovery and Residual Waste Strategy(PDF, 42MB) in June 2022, in response to waste operation challenges and changes to government regulations.

The strategy aims to shift towards a circular economy and promote reusing, repairing, and remanufacturing of products.

It provides a roadmap for improving outcomes for the community and the region over 10 years.
