Embark on a Bilby Discovery Adventure this Easter in Lismore

Lismore City Council is excited to announce a unique Easter celebration inviting families to partake in the Bilby Discovery Adventure for a chance to win delightful prizes.
In the lead-up to Easter, hidden Bilbies await discovery in local shop windows, offering a fun-filled journey of exploration and education for children and their guardians across Lismore, East Lismore, South Lismore, North Lismore and Goonellabah.
Participants are encouraged to seek out 10 hidden Bilbies, each accompanied by fascinating facts about these adorable creatures.
Lismore City Mayor Steve Krieg said participating is easy and great prizes are offered.
"Lismore City Council is thrilled to offer this engaging and educational activity to our community which is a fantastic way to explore Lismore, learn about wildlife and enjoy the Easter season together,” he said.
“By completing the Bilby Discovery Easter Activity sheet, adventurers can have fun and win fantastic prizes from our local shops and library branches.
“It’s as easy as finding all 10 adorable Bilbies and returning the completed sheet by Wednesday, 3 April to claim your prize.”
To start the adventure, participants will need to collect the Bilby Discovery Easter Activity booklet from any of the local library locations situated at:
- Lismore Children's Library, upstairs at Lismore Central Shopping Centre
- Lismore Pop-Up Library at 146 Molesworth Street, Lismore
- Goonellabah Library at 27 Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah
Lismore City Council CBD Activation Officer Kathryn Gray said the project reflects the positive collaboration with Council, local businesses and the Lismore Library.
"Lismore businesses have embraced the Easter Bilbies by participating across our local business centres, and it’s been wonderful to collaborate with Lismore Library, which researched facts and created the activity sheets,” she said.
“It’s so much fun to find the Bilbies hiding amongst the fantastic treasures and treats offered in different stores while enjoying quality time participating in kid's activities, shopping and eating here in Lismore.”
When the 10 adorable Bilbies have been discovered, adventurers can return completed sheets to any of the three Library locations or at a participating business drop-off outlet to claim prizes.
