Heatwave

The Bureau of Meteorology heatwave forecast map shows current heatwave forecasts, warnings and assessments of recent conditions.  

Forecasts and warnings are issued from October through March, although the service may begin earlier or extend later depending on seasonal conditions.

Know who is at risk

Heat and heatwaves can affect our health and the health of people we care for in different ways. These are often referred to as heat-related illnesses. 

You may be more at risk of heat-related health problems due to your age, existing medical conditions, where you live and work and your economic and social status.
