Community Safety Forum

The Community Safety Forum is an open public consultation focused on local safety and crime concerns in Lismore. The forum will bring together community members with Federal and State MPs, Police, Ambulance and Health representatives, local businesses and other key stakeholders to share information, discuss current challenges and identify practical solutions.

The session will be facilitated by Ben Roche, Pro Vice-Chancellor at Southern Cross University, and will explore what is currently happening in relation to community safety, what is working well and where improvements can be made. It will also provide an opportunity for the community to ask questions, share ideas and better understand how reporting and data help agencies respond and advocate for resources.

This forum has been organised following a Council resolution to hold an open public consultation to consider and identify solutions to local crime and safety issues, ensuring coordinated action across agencies and the community.
