Upper Hollingworth Creek Flood Gate – Complete

Refurbishment of the Upper Hollingworth Creek Flood Gate was identified as an important flood resilience project following the 2022 floods. Thanks to support from the Northern Rivers Recovery and Resilience Program, this work has now been completed.

Works included: 

  • Installation of new capability to control the gate remotely, without the need to attend the site
  • Raising of electrical and mechanical components above 2022 flood level
  • Refurbishing the gate to extend the life of this critical flood asset
