Lismore Municipal Building – In Progress

February 2025 update

Driveway works have continued throughout the month of February, with internal restoration complete.

January 2025 update 

The Municipal Building underwent final preparations, including the relocation of furniture back into the main room and the completion of flooring.

Final cleaning is currently in progress, with works completed internally, and external works, including landscaping and carpark scheduled to continue throughout February. 

  

December 2024 update

The site was a hive of activity in December. Final touches were underway with furniture moved back to the main room to allow finalisation of the front rooms. The vinyl flooring is nearing completion with only some edging work remaining.

November 2024 update

Nosing was installed on the internal stairs. The work on the Safe Room and kitchen area is progressing well. The driveway works are ongoing, and concrete was poured at the base of the rear stairs. 

August 2024 update

The Lismore Municipal Building saw significant progress with the completion of service rough-ins and the first concrete pour for the ground floor slab. Corbel repairs were well underway, enhancing the building's architectural integrity.

Stair rectification efforts continued with notable progress, including the application of the first coat of stain. The framing around the main room's AC unit was finalized, ready for sheeting, as efforts to finish corbel detailing by Rofe Rendering were completed, ensuring the building's readiness for further interior development.

July 2024 update

Work on the Municipal Building advanced with continued external parapet works. Flooring demolition began to make way for the new concrete floor. Render on architraves advanced and concrete pours for bathroom and foyer areas were completed. Doorways were resized with new concrete lintels installed.

May 2024 update

During May 2024, the demolition of the corbel was well underway. As was rendering and the chasing for lights. Towards the end of the month, the new timber floors on the first floor were being laid and the demolition of the kitchen in progress. Sand blasting of the main room was also in progress.
