Drinking Water Monitoring Report 2024

Executive summary

In 2024, Lismore City Council performed routine drinking water sampling and testing to monitor the quality of drinking water. The results were submitted to the NSW Drinking Water Database.

Compliance is determined against the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (2011) guideline vales for E. coli, physical and chemical characteristics of drinking water.

The Rocky Creek Dam supply system (which includes Lismore, Caniaba, Dunoon, The Channon, Modanville, Tullera, Clunes and North Woodburn) achieved compliance of 100% for physical, 100% for chemical, and 100% for microbiological samples.

The Nimbin supply system achieved compliance of 100% for physical, 100% for chemical, and 100% for microbiological samples. Note that the Nimbin Rural zone has been excluded from this report, as it is a raw water supply which is currently under boil water alert.

The 5th and 95th percentiles have been determined by linear interpolation and have been excluded for characteristics with less than 20 samples.
