Flood monitoring cameras

Please ensure you review the time stamp on images to assess if these reflect current conditions.

To enhance our community's preparedness for flood events, Council has installed a network of flood monitoring cameras to provide our community with visual updates on road closures, flood levels and local impacts.

In dry conditions images are updated twice daily. When rising water levels are detected, images update every 15 minutes.

The first three cameras were funded by the Australian Government’s Preparing Australian Communities Local Stream program. Future installations may occur as additional funding becomes available.

Please note: To view the camera at Bruxner Highway at Ballina Road visit the Live Traffic website.

Decisions regarding travel through flood-affected areas should be based on official warnings and road closure advice from the NSW State Emergency Service and Live Traffic NSW.
