Lismore City Council’s Recycling & Recovery Centre will close from 11am today, Thursday, 4 December, for a staff recognition and engagement event. The Council's Corporate Centre will also be closed from 12pm. This brief closure supports our commitment to acknowledging staff contributions. Services will resume tomorrow as we continue preparing to support the community into 2026.

Lismore City Council has made some changes to how building certification is delivered, with these services now provided by accredited private certifiers. Council will continue to handle Building Information Certificates and external plumbing inspections. Read more on these changes here.
Nesbitt Park has a turf wicket and six kanga cricket fields. There are change rooms, showers and toilets. Lyn Larson Oval in has a synthetic wicket and soccer field, it is next to Marie Lee Oval which has a soccer field and synthetic cricket wicket also. South Lismore soccer field has two soccer fields or three junior fields for hire. The fields are available separately or for hire as one venue.
