Council's payments and electronic customer services will be interrupted for End Of Financial Year. Affected systems include Certificate, Development and Open Access Requests, and Payments (BPay and Australia Post not affected).

The Lismore City Library is a community hub offering a wealth of resources to support learning, leisure and connection.

We provide:

Extensive collections: Discover a world of knowledge and entertainment with access to 70,000 physical books, spanning diverse genres and age groups. Our digital collection complements this with over 100,000 eBooks, eMagazines, and eFilms, accessible anytime, anywhere.

Technology access: Free computer access is available at all branches, providing essential tools for research, job searching, communication, and more. Free Wi-Fi is also available to all library members.

Research support: Delve into your family history with our genealogy research facilities, equipped with specialised resources and staff to assist you.

Engaging programs and events: The Lismore Library is a vibrant community space, hosting a diverse range of free events and programs for all ages. Bring the little ones to Storytime or Baby Bounce, connect with fellow readers in our book clubs, or discover something new at one of our many workshops and presentations for teens and adults. There's something for everyone!

Free membership: Membership to the library is completely free, granting you access to all of these fantastic resources and programs.

Meeting rooms

In addition to the open study spaces and reading areas available to the public, Lismore Library also has two small bookable meeting rooms for study and a function room that can be hired by members of the community.
