SafeWork NSW testing has found no respirable asbestos fibres in the coloured sand products named in the ACCC’s voluntary recall. As results were below respirable levels, the products can now be double-bagged and disposed of in red-lid bins. The recall covered Kadink Sand, Rainbow Sand and Creatistics Coloured Sand sold through major retailers.
Lismore City Council has made some changes to how building certification is delivered, with these services now provided by accredited private certifiers. Council will continue to handle Building Information Certificates and external plumbing inspections. Read more on these changes here.
Nesbitt Park has a turf wicket and six kanga cricket fields. There are change rooms, showers and toilets. Lyn Larson Oval in has a synthetic wicket and soccer field, it is next to Marie Lee Oval which has a soccer field and synthetic cricket wicket also. South Lismore soccer field has two soccer fields or three junior fields for hire. The fields are available separately or for hire as one venue.
