SafeWork NSW testing has found no respirable asbestos fibres in the coloured sand products named in the ACCC’s voluntary recall. As results were below respirable levels, the products can now be double-bagged and disposed of in red-lid bins. The recall covered Kadink Sand, Rainbow Sand and Creatistics Coloured Sand sold through major retailers.
Lismore City Council has made some changes to how building certification is delivered, with these services now provided by accredited private certifiers. Council will continue to handle Building Information Certificates and external plumbing inspections. Read more on these changes here.

The Albert Park complex is home to the sports of baseball and softball in the Northern Rivers. The complex is unique in regional Australia in that it comprises four full-sized enclosed fields, two of which are under lights. International baseball diamond. Two softball diamonds. Toilets, clubhouse and lights owned by Far North Coast Baseball.
It has grandstand seating, clubhouse, sports lighting and batting cages. There are picnic areas and a children's playground.
