Lismore Visitor Economy Update

New data provided by Tourism Australia shows Lismore’s visitor economy is recovering, with visitor numbers growing post flood, exceeding pre-flood levels growing from 629,000 (2021/22) to 761,000 (YE Dec 2024).

The contribution to the local economy has increased from $ 117 million (2021/22) to $181 million YE Dec 2024. Domestic overnight spend is up from $58M (2021/22) to $83 Million YE Dec 2024.

The Destination and Economy team continue to work on the delivery of the Destination Management Plan to rebuild and grow Lismore’s visitor economy.
