Lismore Workers Masters Games

The 12th biennial Lismore Workers Masters Games returns to Lismore from 22 to 24 September 2023. With more than 1000 competitors and 11 sports, it is one of regional Australia's biggest Masters Games. 

Registrations for teams is now open for baseball, cricket, fitness challenges, football, hockey, five-a-side, golf, lawn bowls, netball, oztag, softball and pickleball. Find out more

SITE LAB // Small Gestures Towards Infinity

SITE LAB // Small Gestures Towards Infinity is a series of temporary public art projects in the Lismore CBD. Visit Lismore CBD throughout August for art in public spaces and a free program of artist talks, live listening events and sculptural activations. Find out more

12 August and 26 August: free Yoga in the Quad starting at 10.30am. Find out more

16 to 20 August: Northern Rivers Vintage and Veteran Car Club Rally, more than 100 vehicles from all areas of the motor vehicle world. They will on show in two locations. Starting on Thursday, 17 August at the John Crowther Car Park from 10am to 12noon, and also displayed at the Lismore Farmer’s Market at the showgrounds in North Lismore on Saturday, 19 August from 8.30am – 10.00am.

17 August: Dark Science: New Moon, a free day-long festival celebrating science and art in the Lismore Quad. Free workshops, kids activities, market, stargazing and live music. Find out more

26 August: Free Fitness Activities for kids, teens, women and men at GSAC, 12pm-3.30pm.

26 August: The Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase Tour will be tearing up the freeways of Australia to bring the best of the 2023 festival to Lismore. It will be held at the Star Court Arcade at 7/126 Molesworth Street, Lismore. For booking information, click here.

 

26 August: The Blue Moon Cabaret at Nimbin School of Arts features a fast-paced show of wonderfully diverse performance artists, including singers Luke Vassella plus many more. Tickets and table reservations are essential for these popular sell-out cabarets. 

27 August: Darrel Chapman Fun Run has been running in Lismore for more than 25 years. The event will commence and finish at the crossing in Woodlark Street. Come along and enjoy this great community event. All funds raised go to Our Kids charity Register now and find out more

28 August to October 6: The Lismore Eisteddfod will welcome more than 2000 amateur performing artists, aged from 4 to 50 yeas of age. After a three year absence due to COVID-19 lockdowns and the catastrophic 2022 natural disaster, they have regrouped and are back with renewed vigour.
