Lismore Recovery Centre provides help and support

Friday, 07 April 2017

The Lismore Recovery Centre is located at 120 Dalley Street, East Lismore (entry via Military Road) and is open from 8am to 6pm every day.

The centre is a one-stop-shop for flood-affected residents, businesses and farmers to access recovery assistance from a range of agencies and organisations.

You can go in and speak to a human being about what your needs are post-flood and find out what assistance is available to help you get back on your feet, from resident and business grants to counselling and legal advice.

Agencies based at the recovery centres include Disaster Welfare, Primary Industries, insurance agencies, Family and Community Services, Business Connect, Legal Aid, EPA, Centrelink, Red Cross and Safe Work NSW. There are also chaplains from NSW Health and Lismore City Council is there in case people have enquiries.

The Lismore Recovery Centre will remain open every day from 9am to 6pm as long as people in Lismore require the service.

A shuttle bus will run constantly between the Lismore CBD, the old Railway Station in South Lismore and the Lismore Recovery Centre. The shuttle will leave every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour from the old Railway Station and pick up two minutes later at the Lismore Transit Centre.

The Lismore Recovery Centre is at 120 Dalley Street, East Lismore (entrance off Military Road).
