Venues for hire in Lismore City
Unfortunately, due to the 2022 natural disaster and significant damage to much of Council's buildings, only the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre is available for hire.
Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre
GSAC has a number of spaces for hire: the Goonellabah Room, which can seat around 25, and a multipurpose room that can seat up to 150. The GSAC stadium can also be hired for expos, trade shows, sporting events or any other large function. For bookings, phone GSAC on (02) 6625 5370.

Goonellabah Community Centre
Goonellabah Community Centre has a large meeting room that can be divided into two with a sliding partition. As separate rooms, 25 people can comfortably be seated.
A kitchen is attached to meeting room 2 and can be hired separately. A smaller room also exists with a table and seats 6. For those not requiring a kitchen, there is a trolley with electric jug, cups and saucers for tea and coffee. To make a booking, please click below:

Lismore Regional Gallery
Lismore Regional Gallery is a major visual arts venue presenting a wide variety of exhibitions and events. It was constructed in 2017 and sits alongside the Lismore Quadrangle, a major community gathering space in the heart of Lismore.
The Lismore Regional Gallery has a range of spaces available for hire for cultural or educational purposes:
Event Space
The Event Space is perfect for meetings, staff training, workshops or larger public presentations seating 100 people. Projector is included, and adjoining kitchen can also be hired. Outdoor covered breakout space can also be used.
Artist Studio
The Artist Studio is an intimate space which can be hired for solo artist use, smaller meetings and smaller workshops.

Lismore Quadrangle
Lismore Quadrangle facilitates events that engage with public space in a meaningful way and to provide a platform for community expression. Bookings can be made via the Lismore Quadrangle webpage or phone 6627 4600.
Lismore City Hall
Lismore City Hall is the premier cultural and performing arts venue in the Northern Rivers. Lismore City Hall recently underwent a $6 million refurbishment and boasts excellent facilities and modern décor.
There are several spaces you can hire:
Churchill Auditorium
The auditorium can be customised to suit your requirements. There is tiered seating for medium to large performances and a huge floor space for trade shows, balls and large community events.
Studio
The studio has a sprung dancefloor and can be hired for classes and workshops or smaller performances, comedy, community fundraisers and large seminars. It can be setup as a dance studio or can be transformed into a carpeted floor space with up to 200 seats. It has full disability access.
The studio is fully accessible and fitted with a state-of-the-art hearing loop system for the hearing impaired.
Fountain Room
The Fountain Room can be hired for meetings, workshops, classes and community events. It is in close proximity to the kitchen and the main glass wall can retract to increase space. It has full disability access.
Foyer
The Foyer is a lovely space that acts as the entry point and bar area for large performances but can also be hired as a stand-alone space for parties, work functions, weddings, launches and more. Staff can run the bar for your event on request. It has full disability access.
Mezzanine
The Mezzanine is situated on the top level of the building and has a viewing balcony down into the main auditorium. It is ideal for classes, workshops, VIP functions, meetings or as a rehearsal space. It has full disability access.
Kitchen
Features a large preparation spaces, two ovens, 12 cooking elements, urns, microwave, dishwasher, industrial sinks and washing station, freezer, two fridges, plus two serving stations. Ideal for cooking classes or event catering. It has full disability access.

Lismore City Environment Education Centre
The Lismore City Environment Education Centre is an educational space available to school and community groups next door to the Lismore Recycling & Recovery Centre on Wyrallah Road.
It features the latest audio visual technology such as an interactive projector. School groups and visitors are able to learn about the importance of the natural world as well the full lifecycle of waste with hands-on activities. Tours of the neighbouring waste facility can be arranged.
The Lismore City Environment Education Centre is bright, airy and an excellent space for educational activities. It is also available for hire as a place to conduct presentations or training. For bookings, phone the Waste Hotline on (02) 6625 0500.
Lismore Library
Large meeting room. There is a discount rate for non-profit organisations and community groups. For bookings, phone (02) 6621 2464.
