New app another reason to love your library

Tuesday, 07 February 2017

Move over St Valentine because 14 February is also Library Lovers’ Day and to celebrate Richmond Tweed Regional Library is launching a new mobile app.

All 12 Richmond Tweed Regional Library branches and the Mobile Library will be simultaneously launching the app with celebrations across the region at 10.30am on Tuesday, 14 February.

People are invited to join the team at Lismore Library for an app downloading class (bring your mobile device) along with the official launch and cake cutting at 10.30am to celebrate Library Lovers’ Day and the launch of the new app. Goonellabah Library will also be celebrating with Storytime, an app demonstration and cake cutting at 10.30am.

The app gives members access to the library’s online services and resources at their fingertips. With over 50,000 eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, and films to stream, all accessible for free, the app offers a streamlined way to enjoy everything the library has to offer.

“The new app is an exciting addition to improve the user experience for library members wishing to use a mobile device, such as a tablet or phone, to access the library online,” Regional Library Manager Jo Carmody said.

“With almost 100,000 members across the four local government areas of Ballina, Byron, Tweed and Lismore, the Richmond Tweed Regional Library is thrilled to be able to improve access to the library’s online collections with this app.

“Library Lovers' Day is a chance for everyone to reconnect with the library and share the library love. If you’re not already a member, join up for free, download the app and see what you’re missing!”
