Rural and Other Cemeteries

Lismore Memorial Gardens also manages rural cemeteries of the Lismore local government area, the large East Lismore Cemetery (partially closed) and smaller closed cemeteries including North Lismore Cemetery (on the Nimbin road), Barham Street Cemetery and Wyrallah Cemetery.

The cemeteries still operating are;

  • Nimbin Cemetery
  • Bexhill Cemetery
  • Dunoon Cemetery
  • Alphadale Cemetery
  • Tucki Tucki Cemetery

You can search for burial details within these cemeteries by using the Register search page. The register includes burials and registered ash interments in all cemeteries. Simply add the name details and your search will be conducted over all cemeteries. For a fee you may purchase a copy of this register on CD.

If you wish to install a monument upon a grave within these cemeteries you must first apply to Lismore Memorial Gardens. Please click here to download a Cemetery Memorial Development Application form. Please contact us at lmg@lismore.nsw.gov.au, or phone (02) 66 251 221 to discuss what exact requirements and determine the cost.
