Community grants offered by Lismore City Council

Lismore City Council administers two grant rounds each year: the NSW ClubGRANTS scheme and the Annual Community Grants Scheme.

The NSW ClubGRANTS scheme offers grants of up to $5000 to community groups addressing a range of social issues while the Annual Commuinity Grants Scheme offers grants of up to $10,000 for a wide range of projects that enhance community life.

The NSW ClubGRANTS scheme opens on 1 March 2017 while the Annual Community Grants Scheme opens on 5 April 2017. Click below for more detailed information on each of the schemes.

 

ClubGRANTS: applications open 1 March 2017

Applications for grants of up to $5000 open on 1 March 2017 through the annual NSW ClubGRANTS scheme, which is funded through the NSW Registered Clubs Gaming Tax.

Category 1 funding is for projects that address specific community priority areas which include:

  • Indigenous recognition and support
  • Improving the lives of youth
  • Supporting diversity in the community
  • Supporting people with a disability
  • Affordable and accessible health and wellbeing services (including family violence and mental health)
  • Support for the ageing community (including veterans)
  • Economic opportunities and participation for women

To be eligible to apply you must be a not-for-profit organisation working in the Lismore Local Government Area and comply with the Category 1 Guidelines. Please read the ClubGRANTS Guidelines before starting your application.

The local committee assessing the applications consists of representatives from the Lismore Workers Club, Social Futures, the Indigenous community, NSW Family and Community Services and Lismore City Council.

Applications close on 31 March at 5pm. Unfortunately no hard copy applications will be accepted. Successful applicants will be notified by 31 May 2017.

Annual Community Grants Scheme: applications open 5 April 2017

The Annual Community Grants Scheme is open to all community organisations who wish to undertake worthwhile community projects or activities in the Lismore Local Government Area.

Application forms for the 2017 funding round will go live on April 5 and close on May 5. Successful applicants will be notified in July.

A community information session for people interested in apply will be held on Wednesday, 22 March in the Council Chambers from 10.30am. To RSVP, phone 1300 87 83 87.
