Rates and Payments options
You can pay your rates or water accounts using any of the following methods.
Online via our convenient online SecurePay payment system. Click here to make online payments.
In person using cash, cheque, Eftpos, Mastercard or Visa
- at any Council offices – 43 Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah or 55 Magellan Street, Lismore
- at any branch of the Commonwealth Bank – deposit slip required
- at any Australia Post Office by cash, cheque, Efpos, Mastercard or Visa for amounts between $20 and $10,000

By Direct Debit An easy and quick way to make payments via automated direct debit payments made from a nominated account.

To arrange direct debit payments, download and complete the Direct Debit Application Form and then post or return to our Council offices for processing.
By Post billpay You can make online payments using your Mastercard or Visa. Alternatively, you can call 131816 and pay by credit card over the phone, or drop in to any Australia Post office and make a payment in person. A credit card payment processing fee applies.
