Tip Free Day

A free tip day will be held at the Recycling and Recovery Centre, East Lismore on Sunday, May 20 from 9.00am to 4.00pm.
Please bring with you proof of residency for Lismore City Council area (rates notice or licence), and help us divert waste from landfill by keeping scrap metal, timber, green waste, household items and other recyclables separate.
There will be no commercial quantities of chemicals, no asbestos, no truck/tractor tyres allowed into the tip on the day and no more than 12 car tyres allowed in one load.

2012 NAIDOC Day Celebrations - Heritage Park

Opera at the Channon

This unique annual event brings fine music to a picturesque country setting in the lush green hills of Coronation Park, The Channon. The event provides opera buffs and novices alike with the option to choose to dress formally and enjoy a 'silver service' luncheon under a grand marquee or take their own hampers and enjoy a picnic with a difference. Following lunch, guests are treated to an afternoon of fine music, featuring a stunning selection from famous operas and musicals.
The grounds open at 11.00am for luncheon or picnic and the Opera commence from 1.00pm to dusk. Tickets to the popular event always sell quickly, so get in early to avoid disappointment. All proceeds go towards the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter and combined Rotary Charities.
