NAIDOC celebrations are held around Australia in July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Heritage Park in Lismore will be a hive of activity on Thursday, July 9 as the Lismore community celebrates NAIDOC 2009 from 10.00am - 2.00pm.
Especially for the children there will be lots of free fun things to do such as train rides, jumping castle and Old McDonalds Farm. Great entertainment will be provided by Backyard Country Music, with special performances from the students of Cabbage Tree Island, Coraki Public and Goonellabah Public Schools.
